Repuls 7 cold pulsed red lightCold pulsed red light

Repuls® works by emitting cold pulsed red light using the most modern LED technology and therefore constitutes a completely non-invasive, non-thermal form of therapy that is free of side-effects. The positive impact of the cold red light and its high level of efficacy are based on the high level of tissue penetration where it acts fast against inflammation and pain.

Frequency and duration of therapy can and should be individually adjusted.Repuls 7 Anwendung unter ärztlicher Aufsicht

Indications

Indications are:

  • musculoskeletal pain (acute and chronic)
  • postoperative pain
  • improvement of wound healing ("tissue repair")
  • sport - preventative and after injuries

Medical conditions for Repuls® therapy:

musculoskeletal system

  • tendinosis (changes in the tendon, tendon pains)
  • tendinitis (inflammation of the tendon)
  • insertion tendinopathies (changes in tendon insertion)
  • distortions (sprains)
  • pain relief from myoneuralgia (muscle pains)
  • rigiditdy of the muscle
  • myogeloses (hardening of the muscle)

inflammations of the skin

  • dermatitis (inflammation of the skin)
  • eczema
  • neurodermatitis (atopic eczema)
  • ulcers (ulcers)
  • wound healing

Furthermore Repuls® therapy can be beneficial for patients suffering from fibromyalgia, arthritis, rheumatoid diseases and neuropathies.

Advantages

Light-induced biostimulation was previously only possible with laser-therapy. Repuls® uses state of the art LED technology and therefore allows a completely non-invasive, non-thermal form of therapy that is free of side-effects. The therapy with intense cold red light allows a beneficial control over the processes of inflammation.

Mechanism of action

Repuls® has positive effects on mitochondria, the "power plants" of the cell. Both cell respiration and ATP production increase. Enhanced energy production and proliferation are important for healing, regenerative processes and pain relief. 1

  • The red LED light penetrates deeply into the tissue

  • The red LED light is converted into mechanical UV oscillations

  • This leads to the biochemical impact inhibition of 12-Oxo-LTB4

  • The breaks between the light pulses promote the removal of the reaction products

Caption: The red light emitted by Repuls® penetrates deeply into the tissue (Fig. 1), and is converted into mechanical UV oscillations (Fig. 2). This leads to the biochemical impact inhibition of 12-Oxo-LTB4 (Fig. 3). The breaks between the light pulses promote the removal of the reaction products. (Fig. 4).
